I having encounted a problem in installing dell media drive in backup exec 2015 using Windows Server 2012 R2. I tried to install it in windows server 2008 R2, and it was successful, just plug ang play the drivers. Could you help me guys, how to resolve my problem or maybe give a link how to directly download the drivers since it doesn't plug and play in windows server 2012 R2. Here's addition details/ info:
Dell media drive: IBM ULTIUM-HH4
SAS port: Dell SAS 6 GB HBA external controller card.
OS: Windowser Server 2012 R2

i am trying to delete the Disk Pool from our Master Server but its givin an error: Unable to process request because the server resource are busy.
DSM has found that an association still exsists between storage unit and the disk pool:Netbackup_StorageUnit==Netbackup_Disk_Pool(PureDisk)@Domain Name.
can u please help me out to resolve the above issue, kindly send me the steps to resolve the issue.

I'm trying to setup BE2015 with HyperV 2012R. All machines are virtual and run on one box hyperv2012R2 with last patch. I want to run GRT backup on Active Directory (2012R2) and Exchange Server 2013 cu12/13.
I sucessfully backuped all virtual machines and I can restore individual files but I can't see option to restore Exchange Datastore/Mailbox etc. or AD object. In job definition I've checked option "Enable GRT for Microsoft Exchange and ..." I've checked option "Delay the catalog operation and run a full catlog as separte job ..." but still I can't restore individual DataStore, Mailbox.
To run backup I'm using two accounts, first one to access Hyper-V(standalone box in workgroup) and second to access aplication in Active Directory). During test I've created separete job and did backup using agent, I can restore emails into mailbox.
My BE version 14.2 1180.2621 FP4.

When using ghost with the UI, I am able to see the details of a ghost image.
So for example, if I created a disk image of something. Then Selected Local -> Partition -> From Image, then select that ghost image; I am able to see the partitions within that ghost image, with details on the Partition #, Type, Letter, ID, Description, Label, Size, and Data Size. How can I get this information without using the UI? Such as using the command prompt to list or create a text file with this info?

2. Can we reinitiate it manually?
I am seeing couple of my incremental backup jobs show as "mixed backup" for the job type.
I don't know why and cannot figure the differences between these incremental backup jobs with the other incremental backup jobs that show job type as "Incremental Backup" (which is what it should be).
Is it matter when it appears as mixed backup vs incremental backup?

today we changed the place where our backup server stores the backups, from a single USB disk to an USB connected Raid 0 USB Case (2x8 TB HDD).
Wich would be best practice for the setting "Simultaneous write operations/Concurrent Write Sessions"? (dont exactly know how its in english, found diefferent posts, in german its "Gleichzeitige Schreibvorgänge")
Default setting is 2.
I wonder if it wouldnt be better to set it to 1 and let the raid do the job of writing in 2 streams to the 2 disks. What do you think?
Or maybe someone allready tested it and can say it for sure?

We are in the process of migrating our Exchange 2007 estate over to Exchange Online and have run into a problem, and I'm hoping someone on here can clarify it for me...
We are finding that our users who have been migrated to Exchange Online are no longer able to open archived emails storted in Public Folders.
What I have found during an investigation is that the EV Permission Browser tool is showing that all the users who have been migrated are no longer showing as having access, they are just missing from Permission Browser...
It is showing users that are still on-prem and the groups, just any users given direct permissions on the Exchange folder are no longer syncing.
Is this because EV 10.0.4 doesn't support Exchange Online?
The users still do appear in the Exchange 2007 GUI however the Recipient Type has changed from 'User Mailbox' to '2147483648' - as Exchange 2007 doesn't know what it is anymore.
It does appear they can access them if I add them to a group, as they are still synced... however we have over 400,000 Public Folders and to create groups for all of them is just a mammoth task...
Any help/suggestions/confirmation is much appreciated....

Can the backup exec 2014 software (or any version) physically move the write protect tab on the tape (when in the drive)?
Because we are not sure how the tab is sometimes in the write protect position, when we never use the tabs to write protect the tapes.

I need your feedback which approach is much better as we need to trasnfer the Data from EMC storage Box to Netapp Fas Box due and we are using Netbackup as the migration tool .
1) Will take the NDMP backup from EMC box and perform the redirected restore to Netapp Box
2) Use SLP to copy the data from from volume to another volume
Our consideration is only time as we need to complete the migration asap , only concern I am having that once using SLP if I decommsioned the EMC box and make Netapp as primary ???

I have IBM TS3200 tape library and NetBackup Enterprise server (7.6.0.1) on Windows server 2008 R2 x64 Standard.
I use Vault management to eject media from library. Vault was working properly until two days ago. Every day Vault ejected one media and this is okey. But now Vault eject two media. Size of date on media is together around 80GB.
I use LTO-6 tape.
Can you tell me what is the problem?
How to tell Vault to put data on one media and how to tell to eject only one media?

Hi Support , My SEPM old version got crash so reinstalled a SEPM 12.1 version and i am trying to restore the lic and backup from SEPM , but cant able to restore .if i try to do a fresh installation the microsoft dynamics navision is not working for all users. navision we are using RTC client can advise what will be the issue.
Please advise the solution for restoring the license ,and client details and for blocking erp software.
